You can now explore the gold-domed churches that dot the seventh-most-populous European city, Kiev, with ease. Thanks to the direct flight launched by Ukraine International Airlines, the travel time has come down to seven hours and fifty minutes as compared to more than 12-hours through connections. The airline has announced an inaugural return fare of INR 27,500 in economy and INR 1,14,000 for return business class.
The first UIA Boeing 767-300 flight with three-class cabin configuration, carried 240 passengers from Kiev to Delhi today. This scheduled flight hopes to boost tourism and business between India and Ukraine, and beyond to East and Western Europe. “To attract transit passenger traffic,” Evgeniya Satska, UIA Communications Director, noted “we need to balance eastern and western route vectors. Currently, we can observe the UIA active geography extension in the West and restrained growth in the East. The launch of scheduled flights to Delhi will help balance our network and improve on Ukraine’s image as a transit country.”
