For this episode of #TnlTasteOfTheWorld, Chef Ahmed brings another Arabic classic to the table and teaches us how to make a variation of the traditional Talbina.
- 1/2 cup barley
- 1/4 cup buckwheat
- 1 glass low-fat almond milk
- 3 dates
- 2 figs
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons mixed nuts
- 1 tablespoon mixed seeds
- 1 teaspoon linseed powder
- Fruits of your choice
- Soak and boil the barley.
- In a bowl of milk, add the boiled barley and buckwheat. Mix well.
- Add chia seeds and chopped dates and cook on low flame for five minutes.
- Next, add chopped mixed nuts, linseed powder, mixed seeds, and chopped fruits as a garnish.
