A biographical comedy based on the mathematics genius Shakuntala Devi (played by Vidya Balan), this latest digitally released movie on Amazon Prime Video traces the life of the globally known ‘human-computer.’ On one end, the movie aims to pay tribute to the extraordinary woman, on the other, it humanises her in a manner often sidelined. A large share of the movie has been shot in Mumbai, where Devi can be seen dishing out numbers and detangling complicated equations at the drop of the hat. Consider heading to Mumbai’s St Xavier’s College or Sophia College for Women—both prominent location sets in this movie—if you want to get a whiff of her genius. Another destination you can expect to see in the movie is the iconic Marine Drive, and houses of the city’s Mysore colony.

2. United Kingdom

Devi’s abilities took her all over the world, and the United Kingdom is just one of them. In 1944, Devi moved to London with her father from where she trotted to different universities showing off her skills, some of which (like the University of West London, Brentford, and Boston Manor Road) get screen-space. If you manage to avert your gaze from the sheer force of this woman’s persona, you’ll also find yourself at the country’s Wimbledon Park and Richmond Park among others.

3. Florence, Italy
