Can’t go to the beach due to COVID-19 restrictions? We say why not bring the beach home this summer. Yes, you read it right. Sand pool is the new trend that is all set to take over your backyard.

Piscinas de Arena NaturSand, a Spanish company has come to the rescue of all the quarantined beach lovers, who are dying to go sunbathing, play in the sand and enjoy the waves hitting the shore. The company claims to install the sand pool in your backyard in such a way that gives the feel of an actual beach. “We are already in June! and you are wanting a bath, and if it is on a private beach at home, much better, especially in these times,” it said on its Facebook page.

Moreover, those who already have a pool, it can convert that also into a sand pool. “Construction pools can also be transformed into a sand pool,” it had earlier mentioned. So far, the company has reportedly built over 800 sand pools across 14 countries including the US, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, and Morocco.

Apart from being able to enjoy a beach vacation without leaving the house, this new trend allows you to customise your pool as per your own needs; it’s built at the ground level, therefore, doesn’t require a ladder, and unlike the actual beach, you don’t even have to worry about the sand getting hot.

However, this is not the first time the idea of a sand pool has been conceived, although the need is now more than ever before, because of the pandemic. Back in 2018, Eric White, the owner of Louisiana based company — Zydeco Construction — had also come up with a similar idea of a crystal blue pool surrounded by sand with customised kitchens, gazebos, umbrellas, volleyball nets, etc.
