The Coronavirus pandemic has given birth to many cool innovations in the last few months across sectors. One such quirky news is that now you can rent out a theatre all for yourself and indulge in safe entertainment. More deets inside. By Kumar Shree
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema company in America has come up with a new initiative to ditch the Coronavirus scare and guarantee a safe movie-going experience to those who cannot wait to hit the theatres again. The ‘Rent your own private Alamo’ initiative lets you rent an entire movie theatre all for yourself. Now that’s what we call a game-changing move in times of crisis.

The company website says that you can choose which movie to watch from a curated list, and then rent the entire theatre. What’s even more fascinating is that the experience comes at a highly affordable price of USD 150 (INR 11,216). Talk about taking in the ultra-rich lifestyle at the price of peanuts. Those looking forward to the experience can choose between two theatres operated by the company. These are Slaughter Lane in Austin, Texas and Sloans Lake in Denver, Colorado.
One can make the bookings three to 14 days prior to the chosen date. So, leave the fear of coming in contact with a COVID-19 positive person at any point while going out, and enjoy your movie experience without any worries.

However, if you are someone who likes to keep some company along, you can bring up to 30 guests with you for a community experience. Just that you will have to buy food worth USD 150 (INR 11,216) for your guests, as it is one of the conditions put forth by the establishment. Now, if the total sum seems too much, consider splitting the cost with your guests, and voila — cinema and food at almost USD 10 (INR 747) per person.
If you are reading this from America, go ahead and make your booking right away! You’re welcome!
