The Granary Lodge owned by his Royal Highness Charles, Duke of Cornwall is now a Bed and Breakfast joint. Spending your vacation in the castle purchased and used as a residence by Queen Elizabeth would definitely be the most memorable experience for you this summer. By Divyansh Mehta

The Granary Lodge is situated on the grounds of The Castle of Mey in Caithness, Scotland. The Royal stay accommodates 10 bedrooms, including two suites and a relaxing drawing room with a mesmerising view of the North Sea. Moreover, the lodge has fireplaces where you can have a restful evening with others. The official opening of this property was declared last week.

The property was purchased in 1952; the Queen renovated the castle and restored 30 acres of gardens and parklands around it. This property in Scotland is said to have been her most adored residence. The two acres of gardens surrounding the Castle of Mey is a public attraction in itself and will definitely add to your experience. This property is open from May to September.

The B&B accommodation will be operated by The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey trust and the profits earned will be used towards maintaining and operating the Lodge as a tourist destination in the North of Scotland. The Lodge starts accepting a booking from May 15. You can enjoy your stay at this Royal B&B at the cost of INR 13,000 per night for a room.
