This weekend, Mumbai will get the opportunity to sample Sri Lanka’s most celebrated restaurants – Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi at San:Qi in the Four Seasons. By Pallavi Mehra


Sri Lankan celebrity Chef Dharshan Munidasa from Colombo’s Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi is coming to Mumbai this weekend to host a pop-up event called Taste of Heaven at San:Qi, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai.


Ministry of Crab, which offers scrumptious Sri Lankan cuisine is owned by famous Sri Lankan cricketers Jayawardene and Sangakarra. The Chef of Ministry of Crab, Chef Dharshan Munidasa also owns Nihonbashi, a Japanese fine-dining restaurant that is literally a treat to the senses. In 2016, both Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi were a part of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list.


At the event, expect to interact with Chef Munidasa and eat authentic Sri Lankan and Japanese dishes such as Blue Fin Tuna Belly Sumibi-Yaki, Foie Gras Teriyaki, and Black Pepper Crab made from ingredients from Tokyo and Colombo. There is a special vegetarian menu as well. You’ll also get a flute of complimentary Louis Roederer champagne and unlimited Grey Goose cocktails from 7.30-8.30pm for dinner and from 12pm-1pm for lunch.
