Lemon Tree Hotels in partnership with Diversey – a hygiene company – has recently launched a new initiative called ‘Rest Assuredunder which it has executed a new set of house rules and preventive measures, to be followed by guests, visitors and team members within each property, in order to maximise safety and hygiene. 

“As part of the new cleanliness and hygiene standards, we have collaborated with Diversey. They are providing us with US EPA approved safe chemicals, operating checklists, training support, videos and support materials to add to our own repertoire of processes and procedures, and will be conducting regular reviews in all properties, as part of this association,” said Lemon Tree Hotels President Vikramjit Singh.

“Our specialised products – Virex II 256, Oxivir and Suma are produced following stringent guidelines and conform to global standards. These specialised chemicals are for usage across all public spaces, guest rooms, food and beverage areas, and support locations used by the team members. We shall be assisting Lemon Tree Hotels with training and SOPs in all their locations, pan India,” LC Das, Managing Director, Diversey India and Subcontinent, added. 

The initiative promotes the strict implementation of social distancing norms across each Lemon Tree propertyfor which the hotel group has made demarcations for queues in elevators, and public areas, and has also re-defined the seating arrangements accordingly. 

Moreover, it has also made the usage of clinically approved protective equipment, including gloves and masks, mandatory for its staffEven the guests will be required to wear a mask without fail. Every individual from staff, guests to visitors will have to go through regular temperature checks via non-invasive digital thermometers.

All the team members will be regularly reminded to wash and sanitise their hands. Dispensers with clinically approved sanitisers containing a minimum of 70 per cent alcohol will also be made available for guests across public areas.  

The hotel will also make sure that continuous sanitisation is being carried out across all public and back areas, including surfaces, floors, furniture, tables, counters, elevator buttons, doorknobs/ handles and other equipment. Even the property vehicles will undergo cleaningsanitisation and inspection before and after every use. Apart from daily cleaning and sanitisation of all occupied guest rooms, even after checkout they will be deep cleaned and sealed for 48 hours. 

The hotel will encourage digital solutions wherever possible so as to minimise customer touchpoints. This will include digital menus, house rules and directories of service, to be shared with guests on their personal phones

As far as the kitchen is concerned, the hotel as a part of the initiative will ensure that all the fruits, vegetables, groceries and other ingredients are thoroughly cleaned. Dishes will be prepared in smaller quantities so that fresh food is available for all guests, and no self- service will be allowed in any area. 

Lastly, all the guidelines issued by government authoritiesFSSAI, and WHO will be strictly followed across all the properties.
