Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International airport is using smart machines equipped with artificial intelligence technology, to ensure people follow proper social distancing guidelines. The machine is said to be equipped with in-built alarms that go off with warnings in both Hindi and English – ‘Keep Distance, Stay Safe, and Door Rahiye, Surakshit Rahiye.’

According to reports, airport director Aryma Sanya said that the machines were made by an Indore-based private firm, Tuchware Systems & Solutions. The machines have been deployed in the hopes of spreading awareness while helping to maintain social distancing norms amongst passengers and airport staff. As of now, the machines are being used on an experimental basis, with one machine currently operating at the departure gate and another soon to be deployed at the arrival gate.
