This weekend, JW Marriott in Juhu is offering an Independence Day brunch menu called ‘A Spoonful of Patriotism.’ This special offer also available for home deliveries comprises of dishes from seven different regions of India, celebrating the diverse cuisines of the country. Some of the delicacies that the restaurant is offering include, Lucknow’s Bharwan Aloo Bukhara Kebab, Delhi’s India Gate Ki Samosa Channa Chaat, Dal Bati Choorma from Rajasthan, Punjab’s Tawa Masala Macchi, Mumbai’s Pav Bhaji, Mushroom Pepper Fry with Malabar Parotta from Kerala and West Bengal’s Cholar Dal.
Ahead of Independence Day, Smoke House Deli has launched a range of wholesome DIY kits filled with fresh ingredients and recipes for you to prepare a meal at home. These kits are available for delivery across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Chandigarh. The offerings include popular dishes like Penne Arrabbiata, Spiced Mushroom and Roasted Pepper Tarts, Chicken Oregano Burger, BBQ Paneer Skewers, Sweet Potato and Quinoa Cake, Spinach Ricotta Ravioli with Tomato Olive Puttanesca, Fish and Chips, Chocolate Walnut Brownie, Gluten-free Bread and Butter Pudding and Orange Almond Tea Cake, etc.
This Mumbai-based eatery serves healthy dishes crafted from fresh ingredients. For Independence Day, the restaurant is offering a 50 per cent discount on takeaway, self-pickup and direct orders. The special menu for August 15 includes the café’s signature dishes — Som Tam Salad, Multigrain Stuffed Paratha, Soya Keema Pav, Cleaning Detox Soup, Roasted Corn Cilantro Soup, Red Rice Biryani, Zoodle Salad, Multigrain Belgian Waffle and Dark Chocolate Espresso Walnut Brownie.
4. The Baker’s Dozen, RAW Pressery, Saucery and Cremeitalia
In order to celebrate freedom, four Indian brands have decided to come together on August 15, and create a special ‘Freedom Breakfast Combo’. The idea is to not just celebrate Independence Day but to also support each other in the time of pandemic and uplift local brands. Each combo will comprise of one loaf of the Baker’s Dozen’s Sourdough Bread, Raw Pressery’s Orange Juice, Saucery’s Hummus Dip and Cremeitalia’s Pizza Cheese. This offer is available in Mumbai and Pune and can be ordered from the Baker’s Dozen website or Zomato on Independence Day.
Bombay Canteen is back with its annual Independence Day Daawat—a regional Indian cuisine feast featuring dishes that use indigenous ingredients from the village of Cheduputtu in Andhra Pradesh. This year, the banana leaf meal will be packed in an eco-conscious box, comprising flavours and dishes from across India. The menu for this Independence Day Daawat includes Maharashtrian Mahua Koshimbir, Naga Khurasni Chutney, Odia Potala Bhaja, Kerala Cabbage Thoran, Bihari Smoked Pumpkin Chokha, Goan Charred Cauliflower Cafreal, Rajasthani Soya Keema Matar, Himachali Rajma, Thimmiri Pea Madra and Andhra Cheduputtu Millet Pulao. There is also Bombay Sweet Shop’s delectable Kaapi Pak to round off the meal. The Independence Day Daawat is also available for home delivery and with each meal, you will be helping plant 10 trees.
