With around 70,000 meetings of 6,000 industry professionals and over 100 VIP media along with 1,885 exhibitors and 1,850 buyers happening in four days, the ILTM Cannes was a one-of-its-kind event. La Croisette in France played venue to the ILTM Cannes and witnessed award ceremonies, entertainment, and the ILTM official party on its grounds. ILTM Cannes also saw the presence of over 70 of the world’s most influential travel editors from esteemed publications who are the voice of luxury travel for their high-net-worth readers around the world.
Michelle Woodley, President of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, said, “We have been coming to ILTM for more than 15 years, and every year we have more and more demand from our hotels to attend. But, the reason we really like to be there is that it’s a great place to see a lot of buyers from around the world. I’m always really surprised at how many buyers outside of the European region come to this show.”
Carolyn Kremins, President of Skift, said, “I love ILTM. This is one of my most favourite events to be at. It’s a great way to get business done over good meetings, great drinks, and nightlife all combined in one. ILTM is special because it’s a mix of all of the great things coming together as one: good business and good fun; [it is] quite exhausting but in the best possible way.”
This year, the event focused on the theme of conscious travel, and a respite area was created for participants to experience relaxation practices like Six Senses Massage and SHA Wellness Brain Analysis, along with relaxing Reiki sessions presented by Canyon Ranch. Participants showed and discussed how sustainability, conscious travel, culture, and the environment are leading concerns for most luxury travel brands as well as travellers as they step into the new decade.
