South Asia’s largest hospitality company, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is all geared up to step into the world of new normal with a renewed spirit of ‘Tajness – A Commitment Restrengthened’, which stands as a mark of assurance of the brand’s signature hospitality.

IHCL has announced that all the hotels under its brands—Taj, Vivanta, SeleQtions, and Ginger—are currently busy implementing enhanced precautionary measures while preparing to reopen as soon as the lockdown ends. Thermal screening of all employees and guests, intensive hospital-level sanitisation of the properties, and completely contactless processes are some of the measures taken.

We have augmented our already stringent protocols as we look forward to welcoming our guests to relive the legendary magic of Tajness restrengthened.”

Over past few months, IHCL’s hotels have effectively implemented heightened hygiene and safety procedures for all guests, employees, partners and vendors, in accordance with guidelines published by the World Health Organisation (WHO), Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), and the Government of India. the brand has also been working in close consultation with its longstanding global partners to come up with smart sustainable solutions for cleanliness and hygiene for the hospitality industry.

The new experience will include mandatory temperature checks for all guests and associates entering the hotels, digital check-in and check-out formalities, an escalated daily cleanliness routine especially for common and high-touch areas of the hotels, and fewer tables, single-use or digital menus with more wellness-focused food options, and no self-serving buffets at the restaurants and banquets.

From baggage handlers, valets, and guest relation employees to housekeeping and other back-room staff members, all have been thoroughly trained on social distancing norms as well as the latest precautionary hygiene and safety guidelines. Furthermore, all associates and vendors will be provided with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and all work areas will be disinfected regularly.

With its genuine sense of care being integral to the company’s DNA, IHCL with all its brands stands prepared to welcoming guests back to experience the hallmark spirit of Tajness.
