1. The Koller Gallery

Buda Castle’s greatest hidden gem is the sculpture garden at the Koller Gallery. This is a three-story atelier-house and one of the oldest private fine art galleries in Hungary. It has a marvellous indoor collection and an even more stunning intimate sculpture garden. The garden is a tranquil oasis where you can sit back and relax, and soak in all the beauty of art.

2. The Architect’s Cellar

This building was once a palace that belonged to Count Kalman Andrassy, but today, it’s home to the Chamber of Hungarian Architects. This stunning monument portrays ivy-covered facades, a wall fountain, cube stone ornamentation and equitable-curved staircases. Also, it is located right behind the Hungarian National Museum. This lesser-explored place in Budapest is a must-visit for all travellers.

3. Mikszath Square

In the last few years, Budapest‘s Eighth District (Józsefváros) has become a cultural and lifestyle hub with countless cafes, pubs, restaurants, art galleries and more. This is the perfect place for you if you’re planning to ditch the overly crowded spots of Budapest and have some quality time.

Today, home to Budapest’s Agricultural Museum, Vajdahunyad Castle, was built in 1896. However, today it looks much older than its age because it was designed to depict the expansion of European architecture. It features both gothic and baroque details. If you are a history lover, this is where you should head to.

5. Rudas Baths

Budapest is pretty famous for its thermal baths but if you are visiting this European wonder, do drop by at the Rudas Baths. It is super contemporary, clean and comes with a pool terrace with a remarkable view.
