From the twenty-five-year-old Italian restaurant, La Piazza, to The China Kitchen that brought authentic Chinese cuisine to the capital, the dining venues at Hyatt Regency Delhi continue to bring the best of global flavours to the table. By Rashima Nagpal
Home to eight stellar dining venues, Hyatt Regency Delhi is dear to gourmands for reasons more than one. For almost twenty-five years now, since the opening of La Piazza (the first of its kind Italian restaurant in the national capital), guests have been visiting and revisiting this flagship Hyatt property for the culinary experiences it offers.
From a trattoria-style setting and authentic wood-fired oven pizzas to lesser known Italian wines, La Piazza gave Delhi’s culinary scene a new dimension. Today, even after more than two decades later, it continues be the favourite Italian place of many a discerning food enthusiast.
The China Kitchen, another star restaurant of the hotel, came in 2007 and impressed gourmet travellers with a fresh outlook of Chinese cuisine. The combination of its eclectic setting featuring an open kitchen and delicacies inspired by Beijing Street Style food, including signature dishes like Pecking Duck and Dan-Dan Noodles, rose to fame in no time.
The range of flavours offered at Hyatt Regency Delhi extends at T.K’S Oriental Grill—the pan-Asian restaurant with teppanyaki counters, House A—a member’s only nightclub perfect for a celebration with fine cocktails and food, and Farm-to-Table that uses the freshest ingredients in its culinary innovations.
The enduring success of the hotel’s restaurants makes it one of the most sought-after culinary destinations in the city.
