1. Ziro Valley

Let us paint you a picture of how sunsets in the quaint-little villages of Ziro Valley look like. Imagine a remote valley stuck in time with bamboo huts, pine forests and paddy fields lit up by the crimson rays of the setting sun. Tough to imagine? Well, you don’t have to if you make your way to Ziro. It is a World Heritage Site and also the only place to offer a peek into the lives of the Apatani tribe.

2. Bomdila

Bomdila sits at the very intersection of cultural and natural abundance in Arunachal Pradesh. From the Bomdila View Point, the sight is something that photographs taken with the best DSLRs will fail to capture entirely. The monasteries in Bomdila set the spiritual vibe at a high unimaginable for the regular city-dwellers.

3. Dirang

Other than the natural hot-water spring and the Kalachakra Gompa, Dirang is mostly a valley full of viewpoints. No matter where you are standing, you will be greeted with one surprising view after the other. In case you happen to stand facing west during the time that the sun says bids adieu, you will witness a glorious sunset.

4. Mechuka

Perched at a height of 6,000 feet, Mechuka or Menchukha literally translates to ‘Medicinal Water of Snow’. If you wake up feeling like doing something different, we suggest you hire a car and drive it all the way to Mechuka in the West Siang district, only 29 kms from the Indo-China border. Take a stroll, learn about its tribes, sit by the Siyom River and call it a day from atop a mountain with your eyes set on the setting sun at the horizon. The valley below will light up in the rays of the golden hour, making it worthy of every video, picture and timelapse.
