Gordon Ramsay To Feature Malabari Cuisine On His Show ‘Uncharted’

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is filming the second season of his show Uncharted. He was recently in the Kannur region of north Kerala. We reckon he might feature Malabari cuisine in the second season. By Kumar Shree

Gordon Ramsay is an icon and one of the most celebrated chefs ever in the culinary world. His restaurants have received 16 Michelin stars in total and maintain seven of these at present. Many know him as the notoriously angry chef on Hell’s Kitchen and other culinary shows, which are — 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Kitchen Nightmares, and MasterChef. Well, if you take a close look, you would realise it’s his passion for food and the craft that at times comes across as anger.

He is currently hosting Uncharted for the National Geographic network. The show was a success in its first season and now, the filming of the second season is going on. During his other show Gordon’s Great Escape, he showcased the culture of Kerala. Malabari cuisine was also a part of the show. When Gordon was seen earlier in Kannur this year, we joined the dots to derive that he might feature Malabari cuisine in the second season of Uncharted.

Sitting between the mountains of Western Ghat and the Arabian Sea, the Malabar region enjoys great popularity for its cuisine. A wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian fares are popular throughout the country for its delicious taste. The first season of Uncharted premiered in July 2019 and ran for six episodes. It celebrated the cuisines of Alaska, Hawaii, Laos, Morocco, New Zealand, and Peru.

We are pretty excited to see if Gordon Ramsay features Malabari cuisine on the second season of Uncharted.
