Golden Chariot, the luxury train of Karnataka, is all set to resume services from January 2021. “The Golden Chariot, a prestigious product of #KSTDC, is all set to start its luxury tours from January. Log on to https://goldenchariot.org/ratesanddates for more information and booking,” the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) said in a tweet.   

Moreover, the organisation is also reportedly planning to introduce a Christmas package provided the ongoing pandemic situation eases by December. “The bookings are open and the same can be done on the Golden Chariot website. We have kept the options open to introducing a Christmas package in case the situation eases with respect to the pandemic. The itinerary of the Christmas package and the costs have not been worked out but it is likely that the same circuit will be marketed with minor modifications to cater to the domestic travellers,” The Hindu quoted Kumar Pushkar, MD, KSTDC, as saying. 

However, the January itinerary as mentioned on the Golden Chariot’s official websitesaid, “From Jan 2021, Golden Chariot Train will operate on Three Different Circuits of South India from Bangalore/Bangalore viz Two Circuits of six Nights each & One Circuit of three Nights.”

Three Nights/Four Days Glimpses of Karnataka Journey of Golden Chariot Train covers Jungles of Bandipur, Palace Town of Mysore & UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Hampi Palace ruins.

Furthermore, the tour package will also reportedly cover guided excursions in AC buses, onboard meals and house wines, meals at outside venues as per the itinerary, and monument entry fee. In fact, as per further reports, Indian nationals can avaia special offer of two nights and there days, on any of the six-night seven-day packages, in the first quarter of January 2021, at INR 59,999 per person on twin sharing basis.  

They can even choose to pay the full amount for one and take the companion along at half the price or avail a 35 per cent discount on the published tariff via online booking. Other features include CCTV camerasfire alarm systems, and even smart TVs with Wi-Fi for those Netflix, Amazon and Hotstar binge watching sessions.
