From slippery slides and water jets, to a giant tipping bucket and what not, The Dhow—Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay’s water park is offering everything essential for the perfect adventurous beach holiday.

The Dhow flaunts more than 70 state-of-the-art play features and seven slippery slides with a traditional Bahraini dhow (sailing vessel) as its centrepiece. Then, there’s a 265 gallon (1,200 litre) tipping bucket, five different kinds of water jets, pull ropes, pipe falls, and water guns, all safely installed over a slip-resistant and impact-absorbing ‘Life Floor’.

Complimentary for all guests, the water park is full of interactive features allowing kids to have a hands-on experience of collaborative water adventures. Bringing to the table some multi-generational family fun, The Dhow joins last year’s installation of a 160-metre (525-foot) beach along the island’s sun-drenched southern shore. So, add to this fun seaside experiences like beach volleyball, stand-up paddle-boarding, sandback picnics, and more.

“Family is at the heart of Bahrainian culture,” says General Manager Richard Raab. “After the thrill of opening our private beach last year, we were keen to create even more family-friendly activities on site. The water park encapsulates our sense of fun and innovative spirit—and gives parents a much-needed break too. After all vacations are for everyone, not just the little ones!”
