Brought up in Uttar Pradesh, food blogger Richa’s love for gastronomy comes naturally. This former banker has travelled to various parts of Western India—collecting recipes and food inspirations along the way—before finally calling Mumbai her home. Now, she pairs her love for cooking and photography in mellifluous harmony on her blog, Savory Tales.

For this episode of #TnlTaste, she resurfaces her love for travelling and takes us to the rural heartlands of Punjab with a deliciously sweet and super easy recipe of kesar badam lassi.

Kesar Badam Lassi

  • 1 cup yoghurt
  • Almond paste
  • Saffron-infused milk
  • 2-3 tablespoons of sugar
  • Cardamom powder
  • Saffron strands as garnish
