The Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, which has remained closed since January 1, 2022, due to the pandemic, is set to reopen this week for visitors. Along with the museum, the change of guards ceremony is also set to resume. By Anushka Goel
On Friday, March 4, the President’s Secretariat announced that the tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s residence), the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex, and the change of guard ceremony is set to resume from the coming week for visitors, reports Zee News.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex, which is set to reopen tomorrow (March 8), will be open six days a week (from Tuesday to Sunday), except on gazetted holidays, reports Indian Express. The museum and the Bhavan tour give tourists an insight into the President’s life and makes for a great learning experience, especially for students.
However, given the pandemic and the tight security at the Bhavan, visitors will have to pre-book their slot, as only 50 tourists will be allowed to enter at a given time slot, the report adds. The time slots that visitors can book are 9:30 am – 11:00 am, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm.
Further, the Rashtrapati Bhavan tour will begin from March 12 and will be open every Saturday and Sunday (except on gazetted holidays). Only 25 visitors will be allowed in a one-time slot, and pre-bookings are mandatory. Visitors can choose between 10:30 am -11:30 am, 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm, and 2:30 om – 3:30 pm time slots for their visit. The Bhavan tour will also include the newly-developed Arogya Vanam. Further, the change of guards ceremony will take place every Saturday (except on gazetted holidays) from 8:00 am – 9:00 am, starting March 12.
