You can now book an entire row of three to four seats in Lufthansa’s economy class, on flights en route Frankfurt, Germany to Sao Paulo, Brazil, till mid-December. The new lie-flat economy seat concept or the sleeper’s row concept, which started from November 18, aims at helping passengers maintain social distancing onboard, also allowing them space enough to stretch, hence giving flyers a taste of business class.

Other facilities include, pillow, seat topper, blanket, priority boarding, etc. Those who wish to enjoy this kind of comfort must purchase the upgrade at the airport itself for USD 260 (approximately INR 19,236) over the actual price of the ticket. The upgrade can be purchased both at the check-in as well as the boarding gate.

Seeking to offer innovative solutions to increase your comfort, Lufthansa will make available on the Frankfurt-São Paulo route (LH 506/507 flights) its newest product, the ‘Sleeper’s Row’, during a trial period. Passengers flying in Economy Class have now the option to book an adjacent row of seats – from three to four seats – to lie down comfortably and have a good night of sleep while flying. On top of the additional comfort and personal space, passengers who book the offer will also be entitled to priority boarding and will receive from our crew a topper, a blanket and a pillow in Business Class quality. Do you have an Economy Class flight between on the route Frankfurt – São Paulo – Frankfurt between November 18th and mid-December? So, take the opportunity to try this product first hand and travel with a lot more space at a special price!Lufthansa Airlines mentioned in its official website.

This is not the first time any airline has come up with this concept; Air New Zealand has also been offering Economy Skycouch since 2011. In fact, earlier this year, it had also introduced Economy Skynestcomprising of six full-length lie-flat sleeping pods; which however is yet to come into service.
