Dubai is all set to become a selfie hub with its first-ever selfie museum — The Selfie Kingdom. It is about to become the talk of the town for providing photo-worthy experiences to its visitors. By Ritika Dixit
The Selfie Kingdom was recently inaugurated in Dubai to promote art, creativity and a venue for visitors, to express themselves freely and have fun while doing it. The museum aims at promoting digital content, and to satisfy selfie enthusiasts and their love for photographs.
Located strategically close to the venue of Expo 2020, Dubai’s first-ever selfie museum is an interactive space. The museum was built to inspire visitors into all the creativity, art and design that goes into taking an Insta-worthy selfie.
The newly inaugurated selfie hub is full of interactive features for some entertaining and memorable experiences for its visitors. At present, The Selfie Kingdom features 15 pop-up rooms with vibrant and unique backdrops like Insta-friendly unicorns, cherry blossoms and angel wings, well-stocked with props and proper lighting. The pop-up rooms are scheduled to be remodelled every few months to provide an immersive selfie-friendly environment to its visitors. Also, The Selfie Kingdom will feature interesting exhibits and state-of-the-art installations from various artists, designers and innovators, for visitors to indulge in a wholesome selfie experience.
This seven-day open selfie hub aims to contribute to the spirit of the UAE. The per hour cost ranges between INR 880 for kids, to INR 1,000 for 12 years and above, and around INR 3,000 for a family. The museum also comes with a professional photographer for an extra charge per hour. You can even use the place as a creative space to co-work at, or as a venue to host private events.
Other museums dedicated to the art of selfie, are located in Vienna, Denver, Los Angeles and California, to name a few.
