Earlier this week, photos and videos surfaced online of Dubai Municipality using drones to sanitise the country and as a way of telling citizens to stay at home during the ongoing pandemic. The drones are a brilliant way of reducing manpower while strengthening the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
The city is currently undertaking massive sterilisation efforts to sanitise every street and corner. The sanitisation programme, which is currently slated to run until April 5 starts off with a warning siren by these heroes along with the drones at 8:00 pm every night and lasts until 6:00 am the next morning.
So far, Dubai has reported over 550 confirmed cases and the city has announced new rules to combat the virus. Citizens are asked to wear masks at all times during public modes of transport and taxis have been asked to accommodate only two passengers at a time.
