AirAsia India has recently launched a door-to-door baggage service called AirAsia Fly Porter, which allows passengers to not only enjoy the luxury of doorstep baggage pick up but also gives them the freedom to travel without baggage anywhere in the country. 

A week after celebrating the sixth anniversary of its operations in the country, AirAsia India today, became the first domestic airline to launch safe door-to-door baggage service for its guests, branded AirAsia FlyPorter. The revolutionary FlyPorter service gives guests flying with AirAsia India the luxury of doorstep baggage pick-up as well as the option to continue their journey to their final destination within the city on arrival with the freedom to travel without baggage,” the airline mentioned on its website. 

While touchless and contactless check-in and boarding have ensured that guests feel safe while opting for air travel, AirAsia India’s FlyPorter service now introduces a more safe, stringent and hassle-free way to transport your baggage as well. An industry first, the door-to-door baggage delivery service entails FlyPorter picking the baggage from the guests’ home and delivering it at their doorstep.,” it added.

The service has been introduced at an initial price of INR 500 for one-way delivery to or from the airport, across Bengaluru, New Delhi and Hyderabad, in the first phase, and will soon be launched in Mumbai as well. 

The AirAsia Flyporter service can be availed up to 24 hours prior to the departure of the flight. It also includes insurance of INR 5,000 per baggage item for the contents and container. Moreover, in a bid to join the fight against COVID-19, AirAsia India recently operated a chartered flight from Mumbai to Silchar, Assam, under its initiative ‘Umeed Ki Udaan’, through which it airlifted 180 migrants with the support of actor Sonu Sood.  

Earlier, the airline had under its RedPass initiative also come forward to offer as many as 50,000 seats without base fare for a one-way flight to doctorsas a mark of respect to honour their constant efforts to flatten the COVID-19 curve.
