In order to abide by the social distancing rules to curb the spread of COVID-19, Abu Dhabi has temporarily closed all of its cultural sites. Nonetheless, a new online platform called CulturAll has been launched by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) to help you explore the city’s cultural centres, museums and famous landmarks.

Manarat Al Saadiyat, Qasr Al Hosn, Berklee Abu Dhabi, Cultural Foundation and Abu Dhabi Art are few of the tourist spots that are offering dynamic virtual experiences and programmes such as traditional crafts, contemporary art, historic sites, and music.

The virtual platform’s motive is to promote and disseminate Abu Dhabi’s culture to the widest possible audience. This initiative will allow people to learn, engage and expand their horizons at a time when it is impossible to visit the sites.

The content under CulturAll has been segregated into three themes—#CultureAllCreate that provides guidelines, demos, tutorials and instructions for those who would like to create and share their content, #CultureAllExplore asks the audience to explore and discover the city via video footage, recordings and published materials of Abu Dhabi’s cultural events, including concerts, talks, exhibitions, and festivals, and #CultureAllMeet allows you to learn from experts around the world, working with DCT Abu Dhabi. Sessions with artists, historians, gallerists and architects are also included in this theme.

“In a world of uncertainty, culture connects us through our creative expressions and reinforces our identity: #CulturAll is our stories, our voices, and our memories. @AbuDhabiCulture,” DCT Abu Dhabi mentioned in a tweet.

With millions stuck at home due to the COVID-19 outbreak, CulturAll is a platform that enables people to access some of the Emirate’s prominent sites. For more information, follow @AbuDhabiCulture on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
