Juhu lounge True Tramm Trunk (TTK) opened a second outlet in BKC. True Tramm Trunk, a play on the words “Too Damn Drunk” provides a great base to start your weekend. By Pallavi Mehra

True Tramm Trunk joins the long list of new bars and restaurants that have opened in the Bandra-Kurla Complex in the recent months.  With its offbeat Indian cocktails inspired by the countryside, scrumptious finger food, and pop music, the bar has truly arrived.

The ambience of True Tramm Trunk BKC is funky and inviting. With filament bulbs hanging from the ceiling, colourful graffiti on the walls and community tables, TTK is great to unwind with your group of friends or meet new people. You’ll hear commercial pop music mixed with EDM and Bollywood at TTK.

The food and drinks menu is similar to the Juhu outlet with a few additions. Expect a multi-cuisine food menu, which includes varied cuisines such as Asian, Italian, Indian Street Food and even Sushi. We tried the bar food – Kung Pao Baby Potatoes, Beer-Battered Fish With Wasabi Tartar Sauce and Pizzas. The menu also includes Shawarmas, Tawa Food and a special Mumbai Street Food inspired menu that includes dishes such as the famous Kheema Baida Roti from Colaba Causeway, Masala Pav from Tardeo and Malai Kulfi from Chowpatty.

TTK serves innovative cocktails with an Indian twist in bottles instead of glasses. We had the Pawsar Country (tequila, triple sec, coffee beans and Sprite), Gulkand and Mawa-Infused Vodka Cocktail and the Kala Khatta Cocktail (whiskey, house-made soda and Kala Khatta flavor). The drinks tasted great and were pretty strong. A meal and drinks for two would cost you about twelve hundred rupees. We recommend True Tramm Trunk BKC for its budget friendly food and drinks, accessible location, trendy music and relaxed vibe.
