A shoutout to all Mumbaikars. The first week of July is going to bring some good news to the foodies in the city. The Progressive Oriental House aka POH is set to open gourmands to some Southeast Asian culinary traditions in Kamala Mills. Without further ado, let’s get to the crux of what’s on offer here. By Jasmine Kaur
Experience rare Asian herbs and spices at this uniqiue bar that promises mixology by taking into account the vintage herb traditions of China. The menu offers 12 signature cocktails, of which Wooden Smoke, a vodka-based drink with notes of basil and kaffir lime sounds really interesting.
Izakaya attempts to recreate the traditional sushi experience. Here, you’ll get to interact with the chef and let the Itamae’s hands create your favourite maki rolls from scratch, with the combination of ingredients you like. Pair them with the signature cocktails.
Here, you will find an extensive focus on handpicked, seasonal, indigenous ingredients that comes from a strong supply chain to ensure consistency in flavours. It offers a combination of a la carte as well as Chef’s Tasting menus. Running the wheels of the kitchen is Chef Vikramjit Roy who has always had the flair for cooking and presenting in a unique manner, leaving a mark on every plate (and heart) he touches.
