Meghan and prince Harry will fly north for a ‘Royal Retreat’ as a part of their royal wedding honeymoon. By Anuja Dixit
Shortly before Harry and Meghangot married on May 19, several tabloid reports emerged with news that the honeymoon destination was already chosen (Namibia). Now, we know for a fact that it is Alberta, Canada. The royal couple is speculated to be staying at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. The resort is a luxurious 6-bedroom cabin also said to have hosted King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939 as well as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 2005.
Sources claim that the destination choice was based purely on the couple wanting seclusion from fans and any buzz so that they could enjoy their stay in peace. The resort promises a supreme experience for celebrating special occasions. The lodge’s elegant ambience is perfect to suit the comfort of royal couple. This magnificent mountain resort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is surrounded by nature and abundant wildlife.
The resort offers a great experience to its visitors for stay and a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities including golf, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. One can indulge in a signature treatment at the Fairmont Spa that is inspired by the beauty of Jasper National Park. This magnificent Lodge has a long-standing history of serving royals from both United Kingdom and USA.
Though there are no such official announcements made but the news of royal couple looking north for honeymoon has already created the buzz among masses. It is also rumoured that before jet setting to Canada, the pair is flying to Ireland for a “mini moon”.
