Lufthansa Airlines is introducing ‘thrones’ in its Business Class cabins. As per the new model, the middle seat is going to be the most sought after! Pallavi Mehra gets you all the details.
Now you can travel like royalty in Lufthansa Airlines‘ Business Class. The airline is all set to up its style game with a complete renovation of its Business Class, where new throne-like seats will be introduced in 2020 in 34 Boeing 777-9s. It has hired a British design studio, PearsonLloyd, to breathe a new life into its luxury experiences.
The new Business Class model comprises of a 1-2-1 and 1-1-1 seat layout and throne-style middle seat. This could mean that the middle seat may become the most desired seat and if you’re in a window seat, you will not have to disturb the passenger next to you when you need to get up.
The new business class seats are designed to improve comfort and sleep by providing features such as direct aisle access, twice as much desk space, larger monitors, more storage and fully flat beds measuring over 7 feet, amongst others. Moreover, you will be able to control your entertainment system and seat preferences with your personal device and you’ll also be able to charge your electronics wireless.
Though the new launch is set for 2020, Lufthansa will begin rolling out new mattresses, sleeping sweaters, and lined blankets early next year on their intercontinental flights. Lufthansa said in a statement that the new business class would have “a significantly increased amount of personal space, more privacy, as well as generous storage compartments and flat surfaces.” We can’t wait to grace our throne on the Lufthansa Boeing 777-9 and fly in style!
