Thousands of football lovers will visit Moscow this month for the much awaited FIFA season between June 14 and July 15. Know where to go before the crowd does. By Anuja Dixit 

 

1. Saint Basil’s Cathedral

Saint Basil’s Cathedral is the 156-foot-high central nave of nine small central chapels. This is a must-visit and a stroll around here is mandatory if you have the luxury of time to discover the capital. This enormous cathedral with eye popping colours never disappoints its visitors, especially if you’re a follower of all things Instagram-worthy.

2. Kremlin

The Kremlin is the official residency of the President of the Russian Federation. You can see red walls that surround the Red Square or opt for an excursion to one of the museums located inside. Red walls and elegant light play looks magnificently beautiful on camera screens.

3. Moscow Metro Station

You probably won’t find a metro station as aesthetically appealing as the one in Moscow. This magnificently built Moscow’s Metro system was opened in 1935. Visit the station between 11am and 4 pm to be able to experience it properly, without having to deal with crowds.

4. Moscow River cruise

The Moscow river cruise is a must-do when you’re there. The city looks arguably most stunning from here. The cruise is undoubtedly one of the most photogenic experiences you’ll ever have.

6. Moscow Roof tour

New to Moscow? The nightlife in Moscow is to die for! And a roof tour from Saint Petersburg is never a bad idea. Watching the city skyline from above is a must when you’re visiting St. Petersburg.

7. Gorky Park

The Gorky park is renovated with a fresh, young and vibrant appearance. It brings out the best of Russian architecture and vibe to your pictures under summer sky. There is also the Muzeon Art Park, a dynamic contemporary space perfectly landscaped for a comfortable stay.
