Television talk host Ellen DeGeneres is back from Africa, where she was vacationing with wife Portia de Rossi. Take a sneak peek into the duo’s travel diaries from Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania to get inspired for your next wildlife sojourn. By Shikha Pushpan

Its no secret that DeGeneres and Rossi are big time wildlife enthusiasts. Rossi had surprised the iconic TV personality on her 60th birthday earlier this year by setting up a wildlife foundation to her name, The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund, that supports global conservation efforts for critically endangered species. And now, the couple traveled to Africa last week to undertake the foundation’s debut initiative—build a permanent home for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, Rwanda. The two also flew to Tanzania and Kenya where they had giraffes, gorillas, and elephants for company.
